"They are stunning! This is the new jazz in Europe. They are very much in the now." Wouter Turkenburg
"I had the unique opportunity to work with European Jazz Motion at the 2008 summer workshop of the International Schools of Jazz in Riga, Latvia. The group was organized as one of the upper level ensembles of the week, but it soon became apparent that this was much more than a conglomeration of advanced students. From the first rehearsal it was obvious that these young musicians were not only thoroughly skilled and professional, but also that a "jazz chemistry" existed. Their individual musicianship, group interaction, choice of repertoire, and stage presence led to a dynamic and emotionally rewarding performance that will long be remembered as one of the highlights of the IASJ summer programs. I am delighted that they have chosen to remain together and are seeking more opportunities to perform. Anyone with an interest in jazz and creative music should give them a listen, and any person or organization considering supporting this group should feel confident that they are behind young musicians with great maturity and potential." Gary Keller
"They presented a maturity and cohesiveness that I have rarely seen in groups that have been together for much longer periods of time, and they only knew each other for less than one week prior to giving a wondrous performance." Gene Perla
"The student concerts in framework of the annual IASJ Meetings have for years have generally been, for years, on a very high level. This is not surprising when the best students of renowned jazz schools from all over the world play together. And yet, there are performances that surpass the usual achievements. In Riga, the 'Group A' created moments which happens seldom during our meetings. Professional handiwork paired with youthful temperament, new original sounds, but most of all very touching moments, captured the public in Latvia in a way which is rarely experienced. My sincere wish is that this international ensemble will continue, following the initiative of the IASJ, an offering to jazz, and music in general, a great movement." Karlheinz Miklin
"A young, very promising band in the universal world of jazz, technical on the highest level, on a creative journey to a new, independent musical path. An exciting and varied listening pleasure." Roberto Bossard
"It is a band which was meant to be, from the very beginning. It has this .... inner communication, almost like telepathy, which you can see and feel on the stage. They take your emotions and play it like a ball, making you laugh or cry, driving you to the inner sense of life and it's divine essence." Themuri Sulamanidze
"I've listened to the ensemble during their concert in the IASJ meeting in Riga, Latvia June, 2008 where I was a faculty member, representing the "Rimon Jazz and contemporary music" from Israel. I had a very deep impression and enjoyed their concert tremendously. Their musicianship, playing and interacting are from the highest level, individually and as a group. It was fresh and moving, and I admit I got goose bums a few times during their concert. It was magical! Their choice of tunes was wonderful and the performance was beautiful. I do believe they should continue making music together. It would be a waste of great potential not to do it. I would recommend helping and supporting them in any way possible. It will benefit not only them but the whole music world." Yorai Oron
"Combo A" combined their talents for the first time at the 2008 meeting of the International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ) in Riga, Latvia. The result was truly magical. The musicianship they came with was superb, and the spirit they created was beautiful synergy beyond that, full of warmth and humor and so many fine qualities. Their choice of repertoire was wonderful, and the arrangements they created together were wholly original and marvelous. I participated in the meeting as a teacher/representative of Northwest Vista College in San Antonio, Texas and newly elected member of the IASJ Board. It is my sincere hope that this talented group of young musicians will find doors open to them wherever they go." Katchie Cartwright
